Newt Gingrich is a buffoon

How can anyone take this guy seriously when he spouts self-contradictory nonsense like this?

“I am convinced that if we do not decisively win the struggle over the nature of America, by the time they’re my age they will be in a secular atheist country, potentially one dominated by radical Islamists and with no understanding of what it once meant to be an American.”

An atheist country dominated by radical Islamists. Sheesh. And this guy fancies himself an intellectual?

Oh, and don’t forget the hypocrisy in a thrice-married man (who divorced both his wives after taking up with younger mistresses and served them papers while they were recovering from serious illnesses) lecturing the nation on morality to begin with.

One Response to Newt Gingrich is a buffoon

I don’think Gingrich is a buffoon. I think he is dangerously and cynically smart. He has figured out how to use
the most ignorant, uneducated, and bigoted segments of our population to enhance his own power and
provide himself with a financial base to live his own exhorbitant life style. In many respects he is the quintessential 2000 version of Lonesome Rhodes, a do anything, say anything character whose only interest in what he says or does is how it advances him personally.. What he stands for this week will frequently not be what he stands for next week if it doesn’t enhance in some way his own prospects for power and enrichment. He is typical of much of the crop of so-called presidential candidates currently using the republican party to enrich themselves and he does not care one iota about this country or the working
middle class people he is conspiring to use.
